Comment 1
I request that the existing Springwood Master Plan be implemented as the DCP for the Springwood Town Centre as advocated by Council Planners.
I especially request that Council continue to implement the planting of Indigenous native plant species in the local parks in the Springwood Town Centre and that this Landscaping Policy be retained and expanded in whatever decisions are made for the Springwood Town Centre
Request that
A) Blue Gum Forest interpretive garden be set up in one of the existing parks As recognition of Springwoods original beautiful Blue Gum forests
That a grant be sought to implement this bush garden -low maintenance, low water use
Comment 2 -Carbon/Energy Neutral Town Centre
I request that Springwood Town Centre become a Carbon Neutral/Energy Neutral Sustainable Town Centre and that this include an offset system and that any future development also include these concepts so that Springwood becomes a sustainable Town Centre in keeping with "Blue Mountains 25 year sustainability vision.
This means -proper (Award equivalent) wages paid to anybody working in the Centre of Springwood -everybody is properly employed not cash in hand as is often the case at present especially in the food industry
Encourage sale of Locally grown(regional) produce, encourage markets
Comment 3 -No Large SuperMarket Chain Development
Respect local shopping -go to Penrith if you want that!
No large supermarket development in the Springwood Town Centre
Comment 4 -public viewing tower on top of the proposed development
- "have you visited that amazing viewing Tower in Springwood its great"
That a public viewing Tower be incorporated in the new designs so we can have a wonderful view of the spectacular vistas into the World Heritage National Park on both sides of Springwood - look at Springwood in Google Earth
Comment 5 -Construct a local Bushwalks Guide & Display Board
That we establish a bushwalks board so visitors are encouraged to take the beautiful bushwalks around the Township - there are no signs at all at present -lets change this now
