Poll says most people wanted the Expressions of Interest exhibited
for 1-3 months before the shortlist was decided

In a poll in November 2007, 71% of the people said they wanted the expressions of interests exhibited for 1-3 months before the shortlist was decided.

4% asked for less than a month, and 26% wanted more than 3 months.

The tally is:

58 people on Macquarie Road were asked on 20-22 November.
7 weren't counted, because they didn't have an answer, or weren't from the area.
That left 51 for the tally.

They were first told that Expressions of Interest had been invited for the Northern and Southern Carparks, and the Civic Centre site,
and that Council would be deciding which, if any, would be invited to move to the detailed design phase.
They were then asked how long they thought the non-confidential information in the Expressions of Interest should be shown to the public before Council made its decision.
